A Native American artist, Robert Becent, Jr. was born January 13, 1949, in Rehoboth into the Zuni People Clan. He made both jewelry and paintings (oil and casein). Becenti won awards for his paintings from 1973 through 1993. He is cited in Lester's Biographical Directory of Native American Painters. He died on April 22, 2001, in Gallup, New Mexico.
