Bear Bronze by Nikolai Lieberich
An authentic, finely detailed cast bronze sculpture of "The Lisino Bear" after the legendary 19th-century Russian sculptor Nikolai Lieberich. This piece commemorates a famous historical event from March 9, 1865, when Emperor Alexander II of Russia narrowly survived a violent attack by an exceptionally large Siberian grizzly bear during a hunt near the village of Lisino.
The front of the bronze base features the historic commemorative phrase "Killed by the Emperor" engraved in traditional Cyrillic text. This rare, collector-grade casting captures incredible anatomical realism
