Born in 1941 in Minnesota, David Nordahl showed an early talent for drawing and painting. He became known for his detailed depictions of the Apache, a subject he began exploring in 1978. From 1988 until Michael Jackson's death in 2009, Nordahl worked closely with the pop icon on paintings and amusement park designs. Now living in Santa Fe, he continues to paint Native American themes, fantasy, people, and animals. His work is held in museums and private collections worldwide.
