Wayne Baize, raised near the famous Swenson SMS Ranch in Stamford, Texas, developed his love for art and the cowboy lifestyle early in life. Inspired by his experiences with horses on the family stock farm, he pursued a career in painting, focusing on the life of the contemporary cowboy and his animals. His work has been featured in galleries nationwide, and in 1995, he was invited to become a member of the Cowboy Artists of America (CAA), where he has won multiple awards, including a Silver Medal in Drawing and a Gold Medal in Mixed Media. Wayne and his wife, Ellen, live in West Texas, where they run a small ranch and continue to share their passion for Western life through Wayne's art.
