1940's Srour Sterling Silver & 10k Gold Belt Buckle

This Vintage 1940s Srour Belt Buckle is a rare artifact from the early days of California’s western silversmithing tradition. Crafted by Michael Srour during his original Los Angeles tenure, this piece represents the high-water mark of mid-century rodeo style.

Michael Srour founded his company in the 1920s, quickly becoming the go-to silversmith for the early Hollywood film industry. His workshop was the direct predecessor to the world-famous Sunset Trails brand. Because Srour eventually transitioned the business to his family (becoming H.S. Means and then Sunset Trails), original pieces bearing the "Srour" hallmark are exceptionally scarce and highly prized by historians of western silver.
